"The initial seed for this was planted by my dear friend, Michael Godard. I have always been a fan of his piece depicting a Louboutin pump. I knew someday I would have to explore that concept with a bit more of a Stickman vibe. Since he went high-end opulence, my idea would certainly juxtapose it with gritty decadence.

The final concept didn’t come to me until recently while completing another project (to be revealed later). This project had me listening to a lot of first-generation punk music, and the concept fell into place from there.

After deciding to focus the image on footwear with a punk vibe, The Sex Pistols theme became organic. The fact that the Pistols inception was associated with Malcom McLaren and Vivienne Westwood’s clothing boutique called SEX, made perfect sense for a fashion-based piece. It was the ability of Malcom, Vivienne and the Pistols to combine clothing and music that shaped the 1970’s punk scene in the UK." - Stickman
