A fantastic set of 5 Star Super Zyn 14" Hi Hats dating from the late '60s - to early '70s. Made in the UK Premier factory in Leicester, they were designed to take on the more established manufactures of the period like Zildjian and Paiste. The previous Zyn models were always seen as a poor imitation but the 5* Super Zyn's were every bit comparable to the competition. These Hi Hats sound great! They have that vintage wash associated with music of the era but the slight increase weight over the older versions meant they have the extra volume to compete with amplified instruments.

Considering they're over 50 years old, they're in really good condition. There's no dints around the edges, the centre holes are still nice and round and both cymbals sit nicely on a flat surface without any signs of warping. No signs of cracks in either cymbal.
