Vintage antique spectacles optometrists traveling set. Made by F A Hardy & Co in Chicago, Illinois, USA around the turn of the last century this travel optometry set was used when visiting patients at home.

There are 18 additional lenses or parts in the right compartment and 15 on the front rack along with 8 tinted or partially dark lenses.

This leather cased set is complete with universal measuring frame with a total of 177 lenses.

MEASUREMENTS

Case measures 20.5" long by 12" wide by 2.25" tall and weighs 7lb 1oz.

CONDITION

In good condition with signs of use commensurate with age. The leather on the case is coming away on the top with some missing and I am not sure if all the lenses are in the correct slots (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). One of the locks on the case is not spring loading correctly but the case can be secured close using the locks either side.
